WEDNESDAY 05 APRIL | We meet at the airport at 05.00am for our Air Malta flight to Vienna departing at 07.10am. On arrival at 09.30am we depart by private coach to the centre of Vienna to enjoy the day in this beautiful city. During this time, one finds rows of stalls set in a historical background and creating a Spring and Easter atmosphere. Exhibitors from Austria and neighbouring countries offer traditional and crafted gifts, eggs in many shapes, colours and sizes as well as sweet and savoury delicacies and refreshing drinks. Late afternoon, we proceed to Hotel Courtyard by Marriott (4****) in Linz, our base for the next 5 days. Check in and free time.
THURSDAY 06 APRIL | After breakfast, we will enjoy a full day excursion to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. This UNESCO-listed medieval town is situated in the scenic Bohemian countryside. We visit the historic town centre and enjoy the traditional Eastern market with traders and artisans offering stylish products and seasonal delicacies in an entertaining atmosphere. One can also visit the castle (entrance extra).
FRIDAY 07 APRIL | Breakfast followed by an enjoyable excursion to Passau in the German Bavarian region on the Austrian border, strategically place where the river Danube meets up with the rivers of Inn and Llz. We visit the old historic town centre known for its baroque architecture, including St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
SATURDAY 08 APRIL | Breakfast and today we will enjoy the whole day in the historic city of Salzburg where we go on a walking tour around the city’s architectural gems - a city that hosted famous residents such as Mozart. Free time will also be given for some personal sightseeing or shopping.
SUNDAY 09 APRIL | Happy Easter to all. After breakfast we will spend our last day in the Austrian Lake District, in particular, St. Wolfgang. We have time to take a boat trip (extra ) to St. Gilven. Our last stop will be the village of Halstatt, full of cobbled alleys and picturesque Alpine scenery.
MONDAY 10 APRIL |Early breakfast and transfer to Vienna for our Air Malta flight departing at 10.20am and arriving in Malta at 12.35pm.
