Wednesday, March 28
We meet at Malta International Airport at 3.10pm for the 5.10pm Air Malta flight, arriving in Lourdes at 7.35pm. After arrival we make our way to the 3 star Hotel Christina in Lourdes, followed by dinner and check-in into our rooms for the night.

Thursday, March 29 (Maundy Thursday)
After breakfast we will have a video presentation in English about Lourdes, followed by a visit to the cave where Bernardette saw the apparitions of Our Lady, and a visit to the 3 Basilicas.
After lunch, we go on our first optional excursion, to the Pont d’Espagne where we will marvel at the mountains and scenery. Pont d’Espagne, situated near the city of Couterets, forms part of the Pyrenees National Park, where we will be able to admire the water cascades.
Dinner will be served at 7pm and soon after, one can attend the Maundy Thursday function with our tour leader and spiritual director.

Friday, March 30 (Good Friday)
After breakfast one can go down to the miraculous baths where personal prayers will be said. If time permits, we visit more places of interest in Lourdes, including the Boly Mill were Bernardette was born and lived until she was 10 years old; the Cachot, an abandoned cell where she lived during the apparitions and the Sacred Heart Church, where there is the remains of the original Church which was destroyed by a huge fire, where Bernardette was baptised.
After lunch we attend the Good Friday function, including the Via Crucis with our tour leader and spiritual director.
In the evening we will have dinner in our hotel.

Saturday, March 31
Following breakfast we head to St Jean de Luz, on a full-day optional excursion,
a cosmopolitan and medieval city with Spanish roots. We visit the historical centre with its Spanish and Arabic-influenced architecture and the Church dedicated to St John the Baptist. Will have free time for a stroll and lunch at the fishermen’s port which is adorned with fish restaurants.
Soon after, we head to Col d’Ibardin, a city near the border between France and Spain with free time for sightseeing and some shopping.
In the evening, following dinner, one can join the tour leader and spiritual director for the Easter vigil.

Sunday April 1 (Easter Sunday)
After breakfast, if we have permission, we will attend to Mass (in Maltese) in the cave. Instead, one can also attend to Mass at the Basilica of St Pius X followed by a commemorative group photo.
After lunch we head to our last optional excursion to Gavarnie, a charming mountain village, situated 1,360 metres above sea level. On our way, we stop on the Pont du Napoleon to admire the stunning views. Gavarnie is situated in the Hautes-Pyrenees region and has a population of only 180 people.
One of its main attractions is a massive water cascade, 422-metres high from where the Gave river - which pass in front of the Massabielle Cave - starts.
Following dinner, one can join the tour leader and spiritual director for the Aux Flambeaux procession.
