Saturday, September 8
We meet our tour leader at Malta International Airport at 1pm for our 3pm Air Malta flight to Venice arriving at 4.45pm. We are transferred to our 3 star Hotel Caravelle in Lido di Jesolo which stretches for miles and lots of colourful piazzas and good nightlife. 

Sunday, September 9
After a buffet breakfast we start with a relaxing morning enjoying the nice surroundings of the Lido and later in the early afternoon we head to our optional half-day excursion to visit the Venetian Islands of Murano and Burano. 
We take the ferry from Punta Sabbione and our first stop is on the island of Murano, where we visit the famous glass factory. We later go to Burano, famous for embroidery and its tiny colourful houses. In the evening optional dinner at hotel. 

Monday, September 10
Buffet breakfast then another full-day optional excursion will see us venture to the mighty Dolomites. Our coach will take us to Cortina d’Ampezzo driving through wonderful scenery and picturesque villages and lovely mountains, with the opportunity of boarding a cable car (extra) taking us on one of the surrounding massive mountains. 
We will have enough time to enjoy Cortina. In the evening optional dinner at hotel. 

Tuesday, September 11 
Buffet breakfast then a full-day optional excursion in the Veneto, visiting Asolo, also known as ‘The City of a Hundred Horizons’. With its narrow streets and various alleys, Asolo is quite a unique locality. 
We will see the ancient fortress and the city wall which dominate Mount Ricco. Later we head towards the beautiful Bassano del Grappa in the heart of the Veneto, north of Vicenza. Famous for its old wooden Alpini Bridge, it is described by tourists as one of the most beautiful Italian Villages. 
This medieval city is rich in historic avenues, piazzas, museums, churches and palaces for us to enjoy. The highlight is when we get to visit one of the Grappa distilleries (extra) where we can even taste the famous drink. In the evening optional dinner at hotel.

Wednesday, September 12
After buffet breakfast our optional full-day excursion will take us to visit beautiful Trieste and its town centre. Our city tour takes us to see the Canal Grande, the Serbo-Orthodox Church of San Spiridione, the Roman Amphitheatre, Piazza della Borsa and the wonderful Piazza dell’Unita. 
Then by coach we go to visit the Cathedral of San Giusto and the Roman Forum before we proceed to Monte Griza, where we visit the Sanctuary of our Lady facing the former Yugoslav Federal Republic. 
From this mount we can admire a breathtaking view of the peninsula of Istria now shared by Slovenia and Croatia. Our next stop is Miramare Castle, the landmark of Trieste (entrance extra). In the evening optional dinner at hotel.

Thursday, September 13
Following buffet breakfast, this morning we go on an optional full-day excursion to Venice. We board the ferry (included) from Punta Sabbione and we go to visit the most romantic of cities Venice, known as the Queen of the Adriatic. 
We will admire the famous landmarks like the Rialto Bridge, the Dodges Palace, St Mark’s Square, the Basilica of San Marco and the impressive Grand Canal. We will have time for souvenir shopping and lunch (extra) from one of the many trattorias. In the evening optional dinner at hotel.

Friday, September 14 
Breakfast and then leave on a full-day optional excursion to Verona and Padova. Our first stop will be in Verona, built between the meandering Adide River. Verona is famous for being the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” a 14th century residence with a tiny balcony overlooking a courtyard is said be “Juliet’s House”. 
Will have some free time before we proceed to Padova where medieval and renaissance ages still live together. This is witnessed by the presence of gardens, medieval buildings and renaissance Palaces. In Padova we visit St. Anthony’s Basilca among other interesting sights. In the evening optional dinner at hotel.

Saturday, September 15
Early breakfast and check out at 10am then join the tour leader for the last morning excursion. Those who love fashion are in for a treat - a tax-free haven at Noventa di Piave, also known as the “River of the Italians”.
This place is a sight for the eyes with all its flowing charm with a two-kilometre river walk, the boat bridge and much more. 
We later proceed to Venice Airport for our return Air Malta flight departing at 5.35pm and arriving in Malta at 7.25pm.
